We are now full-timers! Our new home is a new 2018 Heartland Bighorn 5th wheel camper at 40 feet long and weighing close to 16,000 pounds with 3 slide outs. She is not exactly svelte, but has all the features and storage that we wanted. It has a king sized bed, good sized bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen. The family room/lounge has theater type seating, fireplace, stereo and a large screen TV.
To pull this beast we also bought enough truck in the Ford F-350 crew cab, 6.7L diesel, 8-foot bed and with the dual rear wheels. The truck does handle it well without any issues. I just have to be extra cautious with tight corners or low over hanging trees.
