The day finally arrived for us to pack up, pull in the slides and get back to what we bought the RV for: travel. It has been over eight months since we came to Florida for the winter. And now we are into the heat and humidity of a Florida summer that takes a hardy soul to survive. Our plan is to take a few stops and be back to Virginia in a week.
Reopening Florida & Another Week
I’ll start out this update with the weather. That is always a good starter. The weather has actually been kind of boring. I start to take it for granted until we talk to family or friends Up North. Our days have been mostly sunny and in the mid 80’s. But the weather in the New River Valley of Virginia has been very mild with the exception of a couple nights down at freezing. Back Home in Virginia
It was good to be back home in Virginia! Back to see family, friends and all the annual doctor and dental appointments. Our two weeks at Claytor Lake State Park went by in the blink of an eye. I feel we accomplished much and got to hang out with our kids after a long absence due to our travels. Here is a recap:
Goodbye Virginia (for now)
We have now relocated to Nashville Tennessee after having delayed our departure twice. Maybe we packed too much into our stop at our former home area. Each delay causes me to shorten the stay at our next two stops and forfeit some camp fees. That is the downside to all the advance planning that we do.
