This is the final post from our time in this great example of Old Florida. Cedar Key FL is located four miles out into the Gulf on the northern west coast. It is the fishing village that time forgot. I’ve posted a few more photos in this update. Hope you enjoy!

Cedar Key FL – In Search of Old Florida!
Our commute was only about an hour on some lonely two lane Florida roads. Many scrubby palm trees and palmettos mingled in with the old twisted live oak trees fully draped with Spanish moss. And very few vehicles in this remote area. Very refreshing! Cedar Key FL – In Search of Old Florida!

Micanopy, Florida
When researching things to do in this area, I came upon this very tiny town of Micanopy Florida. It looked interesting as having a number of antique stores, as well as several restaurants, a couple of coffee shops, and a history museum. And their claim to fame is that the town is the oldest community in the interior of Florida that has been continually inhabited. Well, let’s go check it out!

There is much information published on the reactions that people have from this dose, but I will give you what it was like from my perspective. What to expect…
