On our slow trip to our Florida winter destination, we took another three day stop in Brunswick, Georgia. This was our first stay in this coastal Georgia location and got out to explore. In this post we focus only on the small section of the Jekyll Island beach that is known as Driftwood Beach. Pat’s photos in this blog will try to capture the crazy twisted pretzel shaped logs. Jekyll Island, Ga and Driftwood Beach from Pat’s viewpoint.
I took a few photos, but Trish spent some time and captured some really cool images. From the Coastal Ga website: Located on the north end of Jekyll Island, Driftwood beach will amaze you with the beautiful driftwood and trees that resemble a scene from another world. These gnarled and weathered trees are left behind from years of erosion. Driftwood beach offers a wonderful location for photographs and is a very popular site for weddings.
More on Jekyll and St Simon Island in the next blog post. It was quite an interesting stop! Take care and God Bless.
Cool pictures Patricia. Looks like a good find. Nice to be out exploring.
Keep the shiny side up and between the fence posts.
Travel safe.

Fascinating. Some of the driftwood looks like aliens and some look like sculptures. really interesting.
Yes, the alien looking sculptures could have been a little Area 51 site!
Georgia and it’s beaches are just the best! I really missed the place after looking at the pictures! I even visited https://www.visitsavannah.com/tybee-island-savannahs-beach to check on which hotels are near those beaches!
