The Hampton Inn was our home during the two week period that we were finalizing the move out process on our sold home and the last week of my work before retiring. April 23, 2017 through May 6th. This is in a great location and a very nice facility.
Their staff, including manager Kayla Orr, treated us very well. Also, my co-worker Connie – a part-time Hampton employee, helped us get a good room at a busy time of year, due to the local college graduations.
It all worked out well during this transition period. I had to spend some long days at work and then went out to either the house or the camper after work. Pat would usually spend all day at one or the other place as well as picking up some organizing supplies. We had some very long days, but were always able to come back to the Hampton, have an adult beverage, and get some rest. Even Tigger, our cat, seemed to adjust well after a few days at the hotel.
The new buyers of the home we sold were terrific to work with as they granted us a long stay after closing to work through the 40 years of accumulation of stuff. We were truly blessed to find such a great buyer and immediately after putting it on the market as well.
Some photos of the Hampton follow:
I’m working to get this blog caught up to real time, as today is 5/10/17, and we leave Fort Mill KOA and drive to Savannah, GA., for a week long stay.
Enjoy your day
