Happy New Year Everyone!! As I have mentioned in a prior post, this new year of 2022 will be our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something special and a bit of a splurge. For this special event, we have been planning a Europe trip for several months now and have been watching the travel alerts. Currently Italy is at the state departments Level 4 or Do Not Travel. I have commented about our recent cruise adventure in the last few posts, but not much about this incredible cruise ship, the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas. So, I thought it would be worthy to take some space here to describe it and my thoughts as well. In addition, in a chat with the ship’s Captain, he discussed a very recent close miss with a Carnival ship.

We docked at Philipsburg, St. Maarten, the Dutch side of the island the next day after leaving San Juan. And I booked a trolley train tour to get some commentary as we cruised around the island. So, grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the tour in this part 3 of our cruise.
Pat and I were getting well familiarized with this massive Oasis Class ship by day 4 when we pulled into the harbor at San Juan, Puerto Rico. I mean this is like a complex small town in 3D layers. You not only need to remember where all the restaurants and shops are located by fore and aft, but also on which of the 17 decks they are situated. To give us a break from all the onboard exploring, we got off to explore the very interesting town of San Juan!

This is our first vacation in almost three years since we retired and became full time RVers. Well, there was the Durango escape last summer. And sometimes it seems like we are on vacation all the time. But as full timers, we are usually just living and experiencing life in each different location.
