Barcelona Spain – Walking About

The following day after the seven-mile walk, we recovered and decided to take it easy. We ventured out by 10am with no real agenda. Let’s just walk, find a place for lunch, and see what we run into. And then maybe Uber back home. There were some fine restaurants that we noticed in the Gothic Quarter. Let’s see if we can find one that matches up to at least a basic one in Florence….

Barcelona – The Gothic District & Picasso Museum

As we continue to explore Barcelona Spain, we selected a museum in the Gothic District that is dedicated to all things Pablo Picasso. I like much of his work, but mostly prior to the Cubism period. Our apartment is located in the L’Eixample district that is a 48 minute walk to the museum. After some research we decided to walk it and maybe take a taxi back home. We had just arrived from Florence Italy where everywhere in the older historic area is walkable and have found that Barcelona is much larger and is beginning to dampen our desire to walk everywhere. So, let’s see how it went…

Barcelona – Casa Batllo

It has been a couple of weeks since my last post, due to travel and a lack of good internet at times. I have much to write about in the next week or two. So, I plan to get caught back up on our exploring and adventures from Italy, to Spain, to the Atlantic cruise, then Florida and finally back home to Virginia. Actually, we are back home now and having very cold, rainy, snow, sleet, and a whole lot of dreary. But that is December in Virginia! We are looking forward to soon having all the family together for Christmas. Back to Spain…
